Reproduction of painted image of Mother Catherine McAuley, holding a book and looking to the left of the viewer.

Painting commissioned in 1981 by the Cedar Rapids Regional Community of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. Catherine McAuley is the founder of the Institute of the Sisters of Mercy, begun in Dublin, Ireland on December 12, 1831.
