Abstract
In this article, Richard Champlin describes the landscaping of prominent Newport properties, and the history of many of the gardeners and designers. He specifically discusses The Gibbs Avenue Neighborhood, Oakland Farm, Beaulieu, Beechwood, and Merrillton.
