Abstract
The recent accession of a locket containing the hair of George and Martha Washington is described here by Society staff. It was passed down through the Wolcott and Gibbs families since 1797, when it was personally gifted to Oliver Wolcott, Jr., which was Secretary of State in Washington’s cabinet at the time.
