Abstract
This article discusses artist John La Farge’s involvement with the Channing Memorial Church on Pelham Street in Newport. La Farge was commissioned to create a large stained-glass window as a center piece of the church. Completed in 1882, the Baker Memorial window remains to be one of LaFarge’s most significant works.
