Abstract
Woodbridge takes his article through the history of the Vernon House, as it has important connections in both the American Revolutionary period as well during the recovery period in Newport’s history. The history of its variety of interesting inhabitants who either lived or stayed in the house, is a wonderful story which tells of the ebb and flow of Newport history and of the remarkably cosmopolitan nature of Newport's role in the American Revolution.
