Abstract
This piece, written by George Mendonsa, describes his life in Newport, working as a trap fisherman. He was born in Newport, Rhode Island, in 1923. This piece is accompanied by a selection of Mendonsa family photographs, and excerpts from George Mendonsa's oral history. This article aims to encourage an understanding and awareness of a unique and vital aspect of life in Newport.
