Sr. Sheila O’Brien discussed a wide range of topics throughout her interview. She discussed the Sisters of Mercy community to start, leading to her talking about her assignment to Salve Regina where she served as the Dean of Women. She held this position in the 1960s into the early 1970s where the country was in political and cultural turmoil, making her position somewhat challenging and complicated. Later on in the 1990s, she returned to Salve Regina to work in the archives, and she discussed some of the major projects and memories of this position. Throughout the interview, she talked about her experiences with former presidents of the University.
