Description
Constructed in 1697, the Wanton-Lyman-Hazard House is one of the oldest remaining structures on Aquidneck Island. Archaeological excavation by Salve Regina University in the early 2000's uncovered 300+ years of material culture associated with the site, but these artifacts have since been subject to few and incomplete analyses. While discussing discrepancies in these earlier analyses of this site, ongoing research creates a collections management system for these artifacts and evaluates their potential to inform a variety of other research avenues in the future.
